Karen Joyce (Wight) Norris of Calallen, TX, formerly of Batavia, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon September 16, 2024, at the age of 76 following a three year battle with cancer.
She was born in Cuba, NY, on December 10, 1947, to Harold David Wight and Phyllis Grace (Edwards) Wight. Karen was the eldest of five sisters and attended Batavia High School in Batavia, NY. She was married to Robert Duane Norris.
She previously worked in Cameron County, TX, as an assistant auditor for the county and has been retired for several years. She has loved being a grandmother for the last 22 years. She enjoyed watching her five grandchildren grow up and was always happy to pass on advice or wisdom to each of them.
She is survived by her husband, Robert along with their three children and five grandchildren. Children are Christopher Norris of Keller, TX, (and wife Holly with children Jeffrey, Ally, and Will), Michael Norris of Houston, TX (and wife Thuyvi), and Kimberly Machuca of Calallen, TX (and husband Frank with children Jaxon and Jace). She is also survived by her four sisters Debra, Crystal, Terri, and Pamela along with 13 nieces and nephews.
She is loved and will be missed.
