Karen Marie Norton

Karen Marie Norton, 41 of Pittsfield, passed away February 21, 2023. Born in Pittsfield on February 10, 1982, she was the daughter of Peter Leslie Shaw, Jr., and Cheryl Kickery Shaw.
She was educated in Pittsfield schools and attended Taconic High School.
Karen was a childcare provider and known as "Nanny Norton". At one time she was an aide at a nursing home. She enjoyed diamond painting, coloring, and was very family oriented. She loved her family especially her children, granddaughter, nieces and nephews.
Karen was a sweet and goofy girl who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, Cheryl Kickery Shaw of Pittsfield and Peter Leslie Shaw, Jr., of Pittsfield. Her children, Calista Shaw of NY, Anthony Woodward of North Adams, Dominic Frieberger and Allisa Frieberger of MA, Samantha Thorner of Adams. Granddaughter Aurora and one grandchild on the way.
Her sisters, Rebecca Greenleaf and husband Scott of NY, Nikki Brickle and husband Nick of Pittsfield, Kayla Telladira of Pittsfield and Leanna Telladira of Pittsfield. Brothers, Mathew Shaw and Anthony Shaw. Aunt, Barbara Kickery and wife Paula Kickery, and uncle, Wayne Kickery.
She is now with her grandparents, Grandma Betty and Papa Roy Kickery and Grandma Martha Shaw.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1 to 5 pm at the Dalton VFW, 366 E. Housatonic St, Dalton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
