Karen Lynnette Romine, 75, of St. James, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026 in Steelville, MO.
Born on June 19, 1950, Karen spent the majority of her career working in the medical field, where she was known for her kindness,and genuine care for others. Her work touched many lives and reflected her deeply caring nature.
Karen was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Renee (Mark) Reed of Springfield, Missouri, and Ronna (Kevin) Ament. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Noah Ament and Hannah Ament, both of whom she cherished dearly and found great joy in spending time with.
In her retirement, Karen had a passion for gardening, crafting, and painting ceramics—activities that allowed her creativity and warmth to shine. Her favorite things to do were to make home made cards and quilting.
Karen will be remembered as a caring, compassionate person and a loyal, loving friend. Her gentle spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28th at 11:00am at the St. James Methodist Church and officiated by Steve Hiltebrand.
