Karen Lynn Sitler

Karen Lynn Sitler (Burns), age 63, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on Thursday July 3, 2025.
Born on December 1, 1961 in Cheverly, Maryland, Karen was a lifelong Maryland resident who wholly dedicated her life to her family. A loving homemaker, she also helped run the family plumbing business alongside her husband and son, and she took great pride in caring for her grandchildren.
Karen found joy in the outdoors, gardening, and most of all in spending time with her family. Her warm spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, John Sitler Jr., Stephanie Martin (Chris Sr.), and Tiffany Sitler (Johnathon Adona), by her beloved grandchildren, Jesse and Derek Sitler, Chris Jr. and Aubrey Martin, and Ivy Adona, and by her great-grandson, Tristan Sitler, who shares her birthday, as well as by her sister Catherine Burns and brother Richard Burns, and a host of other family and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her junior high school sweetheart and the love of her life, her husband John Sitler Sr., as well as by her parents, William Burns and Betty James, and her sister Sandra Walker.
A private family service will be held to honor Karen's life.
