Karen Snegosky Obituary
Karen was born on June 10, 1966 to Edmund and Florentine (Loebertmann) Snegosky in Glencoe, MN.
Karen was an adventurer at heart! She loved to travel, and her journeys took her all over the world - from the Andes in Peru to the historic streets of France, Poland and Bulgaria, and from the stunning landscapes of Iceland, Ireland, and Scotland to the vibrant cultures of Morocco and Costa Rica. She also felt right at home in the great outdoors in National and State Parks. She lived and worked in places like Denali, Yellowstone, Glacier, and Crater Lake - places she truly cherished. She was always excited to share that love of nature with anyone lucky enough to explore it with her.
Karen truly loved winter! Whether she was cross-country skiing through snowy landscapes or just sitting quietly, watching the world turn white, she found a deep sense of peace in the stillness and beauty of it all.
She was also a big reader and had a real love for the arts. From plays and operas to ballets and orchestras, she was a dedicated supporter who genuinely appreciated the creativity and talent behind it all.
Karen lived on the family farm. She loved making it a home not just for herself, but for all the animals too - from cows and her sweet dog to cats and chickens. She also had a real passion for gardening and grew many vegetables and flowers.
Karen inspired people just by being herself - kind and adventurous. She'll be deeply missed by family and friends.
Survived by siblings: Joanne Snegosky, Kenneth (Kathleen) Snegosky, David (Laurie) Snegosky and Sue Snegosky; nephew, William Snegosky; niece, Stephanie Snegosky.
Preceded in death by parents Edmund and Florentine Snegosky.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Karen Snegosky held on Thursday, October 2nd at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with Father Matthew Wiering as the Celebrant. Inurnment at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Silver Lake. Visitation held on Wednesday, October 1st at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake from 4-7 P.M. and on Thursday morning, October 2nd from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
