Karen Marie Taylor, age 72, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed from this life on Saturday, November 1, 2025. She was born on Friday, July 3, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to the late Walter G. Durham and Betty Brock Durham.

Marie made Winnfield her home for many years and was known for her kind spirit and gentle nature. She worked at The Youth Shop and Shelton's Pharmacy before retiring from The Bank of Winnfield. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully served in numerous callings throughout her life, always seeking to bless others through quiet acts of love and service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter G. Durham and Betty Brock Durham; a brother, Glenn Durham; and her beloved daughter, Dana Taylor.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, Ronnie F. Taylor; daughters, Kayla Ratcliff (Michael Ratcliff), of Jasper, TX, and Misti Womack (Billy Womack, Jr.), of Winnfield; brothers, James Durham (Betty) and Ray Durham (Mary); sisters, Sharon Anderson (Mike) and Anna Johns (David); grandchildren, Dannah Villanueva (Oscar) of Jasper, TX, Cade Ratcliff (Zoey) of Springville, UT, Bradyn Ratcliff, of Mineral Wells, TX, Taylor Womack of Winnfield, Jacob Womack (Mattie Claire) of Winnfield, and Landen Womack of Winnfield; great grandchildren, Alaina, Noah, Tyce, Fitz, Shaw, and Lucy; and a host of extended family, church family, and friends who loved her dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cade Ratcliff, Bradyn Ratcliff, Jacob Womack, Landen Womack, Oscar Villanueva, and Jon Reynard.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, and again on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. President Pat Howell will officiate. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
