Karen Sue Topping, 66, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday evening, December 26, 2025, at Otterbein Green Hills Senior Life Community.
Karen was born in Bellefontaine on May 28, 1959, the daughter of the late Leland Eugene Tuttle and Mary Ruth (Knoff) Tuttle.
On March 31, 1984, Karen married William R. Topping in Lewistown, Ohio and he survives in Bellefontaine.
She is also survived by their children: Angie (Roy) Brede of Bellefontaine, and Aaron Topping of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn Nelsen, Alanna Nelsen, Garrett Brede, Aeva Topping, and Emma Topping; a great-grandchild: Talia Nelsen; a sister Beverly (Ronald) Dodds of Marysville, and two nieces, Andrea (Alex) Grundy and Leigh Anne (Nate) Meyer.
Karen worked at Carpets of Urbana for many years. She enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate Karen’s funeral on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00am at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
