Dorothea O'Connor Tobin
February 1, 2025
I met Karen at Boston College . We lived in the same dorm. I am forever grateful that when I left my home in Chicago for the first time, Karen was there to brighten up every day . She made every day happy . She was always smiling and full of life, full of ideas for fun, and interest in whatever I was doing. I returned to Chicago after college and Karen stayed on the east coast, so we didn't stay in close contact. But Karen made an impact. I didn't need to see her to feel connected to her. That is the way she was. She LOVED you! FOREVER! It really is an extraordinary quality of hers. Fifty years later, I strive to love people the way that Karen did, so naturally, and with such ease.
