Kari Suzanne Stacy

Kari Suzanne Stacy (nee Bainter), 55, of Granite City, IL, born on June 13, 1970, at Scott Air Force Base, IL, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Kari had a fond interest in her family history, with particular attention to her Civil War ancestors in the 9th & 106th Ohio Infantries. She was a member of the Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. More recently she was an avid collector of Winnie the Pooh collectibles.

Kari was preceded in death by her parents Billy & Sharon Bainter (nee Baumgardner).

Left to cherish Kari's memory is her beloved husband, Jon Stacy; daughter Kathryn (David) Buechler of Freeburg, IL; sisters Diane (William) Kemp of O'Fallon, IL, Stacy (Tim) Mathis of Lebanon, IL; nieces and nephews Mary Kemp (Jim Kelly), Kristie Kemp, Ryan Kemp, Skylar Mathis; and grandson Dean Buechler.

At her request Stacy's services will be private and she will be laid to rest at Shiloh City Cemetery.
