Karin L. Jenkins, 67, a lifelong Norwich resident died in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Born on October 25, 1957, in Norwich, Karin was a daughter of the James Jenkins, Sr. and Josephine (George) Taylor. She attended school in Norwich and later found employment at Champion on the sewing line. Karin then worked as a cleaner at Chenango Memorial Hospital and finally for Coach Master Bus Lines helping children.
Karin was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending time with her family and friends at backyard cookouts. In the summer, Karin could be found in West Park helping her friend, Patty Leahy, sell hot dogs.
Karin is survived by her partner of 22 years, Fred Florenz, of South Plymouth; son, Christopher Jenkins, of Plymouth; grandchildren Jaden Jenkins, Ashton Jenkins, and Taylor Jenkins; siblings, Janice Coulson, Cheryl Clark, Phyllis Lewis, Sandra Crawford, and Warren Taylor; best friends “aka sister” Leah Adams, of Norwich; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Karin was predeceased by her son, Daniel Jenkins, in 2023, and siblings, James Jenkins, Jr., Phoebe Kipp, Eleanor Powell, and Richard Jenkins.
Family and friends are invited to the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
