Karina Melissa Nieman Craighead

A memorial service honoring the life of Karina Melissa Nieman Craighead, 48, of Downsville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.

Karina was born on June 10, 1977, in Irving, Texas and passed away on March 2, 2026, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Karina was a loving wife and devoted mother whose happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people she cherished most. She found joy in gathering with family and friends and treasured the quiet beauty of sunsets over the lake. Her children were the heart of her world. Her greatest achievement and the source of her deepest pride. She never missed a recital, ballgame, or special moment, always showing up with unwavering support and a smile that made others feel loved. Karina will be remembered for her warm heart, her wonderfully goofy sense of humor, and the kindness she shared so freely with everyone blessed to know her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brad Craighead; daughter, Danielle Hare and husband, Tristan; step daughter, Katy Armstrong and husband, Hunter; son, David Craighead; parents, Virma and Bob Nieman; and siblings, Maggie Womack and husband, Mark, Robby Nieman, Kristin Nieman; nephew, Eric; niece, Annabelle; as well as extended family and many close friends.
