Karl Talmage Crabtree, 89, of Stanton, widower of Lula Belle Lowe Crabtree, which was the love of his life, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Saint Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling. He was a US Army Veteran and proudly served. Talmage retired from US postal service and was a contractor for prestressed services for an additional twenty years. On weekends he enjoyed dune buggy riding with family and friends and was also known to enjoy to enjoy a card game or two with friends. Survivors include, Sons, Karl Jeffery and wife, Gina Crabtree, Enterprise, Alabama and Kevin and wife, Hazel Crabtree, Stanton; Daughter, Tammie and husband, Brandon Crowe, Stanton; Sister, Virginia Faye Farmer; Brother, Kenneth Lyle and wife, Chrissy Faught; Grandchildren, Samantha and husband Aaron Adams, Cassandra Lovin, Jacqueline and husband, Brian Chandler, Jessica and husband, JackGood, and Brayden Crowe; Great-Grandchildren, Emma-Grace Chandler, Lauryn Piper Adams, Easton Cole Lovin, Rhett Tyler Lovin, Nash Wylder Lovin, Bentley Jeffery Good, Liam Lucas Good, and Savannah Kay Good. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford Green and Edna Jane Crabtree, wife, Lula Belle Crabtree, brothers, Gerald Jackson Crabtree and Brenton Hoskins Crabtree; sister, Barbara Louise Walling; and grandson, Christopher Scott Crabtree. Services Tuesday, February 10, 1:00PMWells Funeral Home by Dr Rev. Kenneth Faught. Visitation Tuesday 11am-1pm. Burial in Cat Creek Cemetery with Marty Cecil, Brenton Crabtree Jr., Jimmy Crabtree, Brayden Crowe, Parnell Lowe, Phillip Lowe, John Lowe, and Chris Thorn. Honorary pallbearers serving, Donnie Walling, Mr. & Mr. Talmage Smallwood, Mr. & Mrs. Calvin Cravins, Mr. & Mrs. Rondall Banks, John Parks, Mr & Mrs Mr & Mrs Steve Whithead, Mr & Mrs Garry Tipton.
