Karl Gonzales II

Karl Gonzales II age, 40, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his home in Las Vegas, NM.
Karl Gonzales II was born on November 11, 1981 to Karl and Crestina Gonzales. Karl was a lifelong citizen of Las Vegas NM. He attended Robertson High School and was a year 2000 graduate. He went on to obtain a degree from NMSU. He came back home and worked at Walmart in management for over 16 years. It's where he made most of his lifelong friends. Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life Joann Gallegos. Together they raised two beautiful daughters whom he loved and cherished, Maria and Itzel.
If you were lucky enough to know Karl you knew you were in for some good times; as it was his passion to make jokes and make people laugh.
Karl was very fond of music and singing. He could pick up any instrument and teach himself how to play it. He excelled in playing the trumpet and was a very talented player throughout his school years and for many years after. He was in a band "Solamente"
In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, and being outdoors doing activities like hunting, fishing and camping.
Karl was a very dedicated, extremely hard working man and would put his all into everything he did. He was currently employed by NMDOT.
Karl will be remembered by his friends, family and coworkers by his hilarious and lively personality, and as a kind, genuine, and respectful man.
He will be greatly missed but we will forever carry his memory within our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Grace and Albert Gonzales; maternal grandmother: Angela Gold; aunt: Elizabeth Ortega; uncle: Lawrence Gonzales; father-in-law: Ernesto Gallegos; brother-in-law: Richard Gallegos.
Karl is survived by his parents Karl and Crestina Gonzales fiancé JoAnn Gallegos of the family home daughters Maria Theresa Gonzales and Itzel Gonzales very special nephew Jeffery Gallegos Jr.brothers Joseph Gonzales (Marla) and David Gonzales (Francine) sister: Alicia Montaño (Christian) maternal grandfather Louie Gold mother-in-law Manuelita Gallegos brother-in-law Prudencio Gallegos (Judy) sister-in-laws Pauline Gallegos (Rick)and Tina Gallegos (Javier) nieces and nephews David Jr., Enrique, Alina, Jayde, Christian II, Adelynn, Marli Jo, Daniel, Antonio, Kristen, Kaelee, Samantha, Jeffery, Leann, P.J. and Julian uncles Charlie Gold (Frances) and Ernie Gold (Elba) aunts Alberta Vigil (Maurilio), godson Julian Gallegos all of Las Vegas, NM aunt Pamela Gonzales of North Carolina uncle Rudy Ortega of Albuquerque, NM great aunt Stella Archuleta of Rio Rancho, NM numerous other relatives, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 7:00pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM.
Funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 9:00am at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar and Father Adrian Sisneros as celebrant.
Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers Joseph Gonzales, David Gonzales, Christian Montaño, Larry Saiz, P.J. Gallegos, Prudencio Gallegos, Ralph Baca and Leroy Tafoya. Honorary Pallbearers will be all his nieces, nephews, great nieces, John Herrera and all his co-workers from Walmart and NMDOT.
