"Tom" Karl William Kornhaus, 66, of Beach City, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025. Born on August 23, 1958, Tom lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family and friends who cherished his warm spirit and generous heart. Tom dedicated many years of his career to BP and Century Link, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues before retiring. His retirement years were spent relaxing and spending time with the people he loved. As a longtime resident of Denver, Colorado, Tom was a devoted Denver Broncos fan who never missed a game. He could often be found cheering on his team while enjoying time with family and friends. Tom was a firearms enthusiast, who enjoyed spending time at the shooting range, especially with his son. Tom was known for his culinary talents, particularly his famous Christmas lasagna that became a beloved tradition for all who were fortunate enough to taste it. In his younger years, Tom had a deep love for travel, exploring new places and creating memories that would last a lifetime. He was also a devoted pet owner, sharing his home with two cherished companions, Bandit and Hadley, who brought him immense joy. A man of routine and conviction, Tom enjoyed staying informed about current events and was a regular viewer of Fox News. He was a proud Republican and a lifetime member of the NRA. Tom is survived by his son Jason Kornhaus and future daughter-in-law LaChelle Dunlap, and his beloved grandson Westin, who brought endless pride and happiness to his life. He is also survived by his dear friend Tom Kitching, whose friendship was a source of strength and companionship throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Laura Kornhaus, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love. Tom's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, his famous recipes, his unwavering loyalty to those he loved, and the values he instilled in his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
