Karl Duane Overby Jr., 59, passed away peacefully at his home on August 3, 2024.
Karl was born in Danville, Virginia to Jeanette Overby and the late Karl Overby Sr. He was a journeyman electrician for IBEW for more than 20 years, until his retirement. He loved playing video games with his son and also watching Jeopardy , and baseball. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Karl was preceded in death by his father Karl Duane Overby Sr. and is survived by his son, Karl Duane Overby III of the home; mother, Jeanette Young Overby; sister, Tammy Overby Cordova and husband, Temo; nephew, Michael Morelli and wife, Beth; niece, Noemi Ragan and husband, Greg along with a loving group of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with Bradley Overby officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
