Karl Pfleger Obituary

Karl Pfleger
Born: February 10, 1961 in Princeton, IL
Died: September 21, 2025 in Princeton, IL
Tiskilwa - Karl J. Pfleger, 64, passed away unexpectedly at OSF St. Clare, in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife, Bev and some very close friends.
Born on February 10, 1961, in Tiskilwa, IL, to the late James and Sylvia Pfleger, Karl grew up with love and appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple joys of small-town life. A proud graduate of Tiskilwa High School, Class of 1979, he carried those values with him throughout his life.
On April 20, 1985, Karl married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Beverly Geiger of Princeton. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and devotion, celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this past spring.
Karl was a proud 30 year member of the Local 150 International Union of Operating Engineers. He retired 3 years ago from Advanced Asphalt where he spent the last 27 years working beside his best friend of over 60 years, Mike Gustafson. Outside of work, he was happiest in the outdoors or surrounded by family and friends.
Karl most of all enjoyed being outdoors, hunting with his best buddies and adopted son, Trent Munson. He loved anything to do with snowmobiling. He raced for many years. He was always willing to help someone make their sled go faster, but never telling any of his secrets.
He loved fishing with his buddies and his wife Bev.
Karl had a love for anything related to GTO's. He always wished he had an old barn that he had kept them all in, so when he got old he'd have them to cherish.
But most of all he enjoyed doing all things with his best friend, and the love of his life of 44 years, Bev.
He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 40 years, Beverly A. Pfleger of Princeton, IL; his mother-in-law Patricia Geiger of Princeton; sister-in-laws: Joan Hass, Diane Crumbley, Michele Geiger; brothers-in-law; Doug Geiger, Robert Geiger; as well as his beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Louise Pfleger; his father-in-law, Paul Geiger; and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Crumbley.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments in Princeton.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Deacon John Murphy on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Private burial to be held.
There will be a luncheon, gathering following the ceremony at Harmons Lake in Tiskilwa, Illinois. Maps will be provided at the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Tiskilwa Ambulance Service, Tiskilwa, IL in Karl's memory.

I always enjoyed when he and his parents would come to texas for Christmas. I believe he was the last cousin to stop believing in Santa. Love you and you will be missed!!!
