Karyn Papp Obituary
August 17, 1966 – February 28, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Karyn Marie Papp announces her passing on February 28, 2026, at the age of 59. She was born in Dearborn, MI on August 17, 1966, the daughter of Robert Papp and Elaine Papp (née Katanski).
Karyn was the life partner of Patrick Kiernan for 32 years and the sister of Terri (Steven) Green, Alan, and Jessica. She is also survived by her nephew Nic (Kayla), niece Alicia, and stepdaughter Megan Kiernan Fowler, and is fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Karyn touched many lives throughout her career in the service industry, and she passionately supported animal welfare causes. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this month.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The KARENS (K9 Animal Rescue Emergency Networking System) https://thekarens2021.com, an organization of dedicated volunteers that came together to make a difference in the lives of dogs in Detroit with a mission to rescue and provide essential care for animals in need.
