Karyn Rew

Wausau, WI - Karyn A. Rew, 54 of Wausau, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at Wood Aven, under the care of Heartland Hospice.

Karyn was born on October 15, 1971, in Janesville, the daughter of Gerald and Roseanne (Warpehoski) Rew.

Karyn was a 1989 graduate from Parker High School in Janesville. She was employed at WPS Health Insurance as a contractor for the Department of Defense. Karyn enjoyed crocheting, especially making blankets and animals for her family. She loved her daughter and grandchildren, and loved doing fun activities, such as going to the park and Chalkfest in Wausau with her grandchildren.

Karyn is survived by her parents, Gerald and Roseanne; daughter, Savana Rew; three grandchildren, Tannor Suski, Trey Scott and Thaliah' Rose Scott; two sisters, Kris (Ken) Blazek and Kathy (Billy) Reilly; aunts, Marianne (Mike) Sprague and Donna (Jon Drost) Diers; uncle, Ron Rew; numerous cousins and her cat, Kowalski.

Karyn was preceded in death by two aunts, Susanne Loomis and Evelyn Fandrey and uncle, John Warpehoski Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Pastor Jennifer Sosinski will preside. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 12 NOON until the time of service at the funeral home.
