Karyn Simon

Karyn Marie Simon, 68, passed away suddenly at home on January 5, leaving a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Karyn was a deeply loving woman with an unmistakable sense of humor. Her laughter was contagious, and her quick wit brought lightness and humor to everyday moments. She lived with an adventurous spirit, never shying away from trying something new and embracing life with enthusiasm and courage.

In 1978 she married the love of her life, her husband Don, and together they travelled the world and created a lifetime of incredible memories. From fishing to skiing to spelunking, they embraced every adventure with joy and fearless curiosity.

She was a devoted wife to Don, and a loving mother to her five children: Heidi, Dana, Jamie (Jeff), Jaclyn (Raymond), and Jeffrey (Samantha). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Emily, Andrew, Liliana, Rebecca, Rachel, Mia, and Charlotte. Her love for them was deep and unwavering, and they were the greatest joy of her life.

Karyn will always be remembered for her loving heart, adventurous soul, and quick sense of humor. Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully capture, but her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the countless memories she created. She will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Lane, Woodbridge.

Shiva will be observed Wednesday from 2:00–6:00 p.m. and Thursday from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at 396 Cindy Street, Old Bridge.
