On August 14, 2024, Kathleen “Kat” Diedrich passed away in her home in Johnstown, OH after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends, including her loving fiancé, Vaughn Kibler, and her caregivers Tara Evans and Leyla Stice Billman.
She is survived by her two sons, Brandon and Bryan (Grace) Diedrich, her sister Cindy (Rex) Sines, her brother Jim (Jennifer) Kitchen, and her adorable nieces Mackenzie and Khloe. She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Carol Kitchen.
Kat was a person with many hobbies. She loved cooking, tending to her garden, and traveling. She also loved caring for ALL her fur babies; Lili, Giz and Tyson. She also loved to take care of the wildlife who came up on the back deck to get their snacks she has left out.
She loved riding her Harley, dancing, entertaining, or just hanging out. Kat was magical, once you met her, you fell in love with her smile, and her energy and instantly had a forever friend.
Her other passion was construction and being in charge! She was currently employed with Ruscilli Construction Co, LLC. She even reconstructed her office trailer herself and enjoyed all of her decorations, of course there are plants hanging and a few crystals laying around . Even going thru chemo, she was always wanting to be involved.
She was pretty good at what she does, and very proud to be part of many projects. With being a graduate of COTC 1991 for Drafting and Design Technology, she then continued her education and graduated in 2003 with an Associate’s in Construction Management from Columbus State Community College.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles – Newark, OH and Newark Moose Lodge #449, Newark, Ohio.
