In 1965 I had the great good fortune to fall in love with Kate. Kate was a lovely, compassionate, intelligent, caring woman. I wanted her to marry me, but in 1966 I had the great good fortune to have her turn down my proposals, leaving me free to find the wonderful woman I've been married to for 57 years. So long Kate; I think of you frequently and fondly.
