Dear Kate was an inspiration in our neighbor while we shared the joys and challenges of raising children. Kate's effervescent enthusiasm for fun and creative energy gave us many memorable gatherings. Kate was always the willing and gracious hostess. To John and the rest of Kate's family- we are so saddened by Kate's untimely passing and hope you find comfort in knowing she touched many lives.

I send my deepest sympathy to Kate's family and friends. I knew her in seminary and got to do her hair a few times. She shared parts of her life with me and for that I am grateful. Kate always seemed to have the quality of "bouncing back" no matter what. I got to see her at various functions after graduation and her smile could light up a room. I know that there is peace in the ongoing of her soul.

Back around 1998-1999, I knew of Kate through Psyhosynthesis, a group that probably was affiliated with her work in Human Development. I was glad for her that she continued on for that degree in Divinity. Life-Long Learner - way to go, Kate!

John, Flossie, Ellwood, and dear friend Dan,
We are holding Kate, and you, in the Light, recalling Kate with joy.
Kate was a spirited, talented, loving light in our lives. She loved life passionately, and that love translated seamlessly from her home, to her garden, to her family and friends, to her spiritual life.
Even in her departing was she was passionate, joyously holding a goodbye party and sharing with friends and family gifts of the many things she had treasured.
We recall that there were difficult years when her diagnosis made her graduation from seminary seem unlikely. She ruefully told us that she had only twice in her life failed to finish something she started-- a latch-hook rug-- and seminary.
She willingly abandoned the rug, but accepting not graduating from seminary was much more difficult. It affected her sense of spiritual completion.
It was indeed a joyous time two long years later when she finally graduated and was ordained.
Kate, you always loved Rumi. On his tomb, his epitaph reads: "When we are dead, seek not our tomb in the earth, but find it in the hearts of men."
You will always be in our hearts. Susan and Dennis Breed

I new Kate at Unity Village when she came to study after I was ordained. We connected because of our redhead-ness! She was a great comfort to several of my personal friends who found themselves with Cancer. She was a feisty light! I am holding you all in prayer and love. She is now with my own beloved Tom and has earned her Wings, too. GodSpeed Kate!

What a friend Kate was to all who knew her. I had the pleasure of knowing her all the years she was going to school at Unity. What I will miss the most about Kate is that hearty, joy-filled laugh of hers and the fact that she made me feel really loved. Thank you Kate for being my friend.
Dan, thanks for being such a great guy to Kate, when she was here and especially now.
