A funeral service for Kathrina will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Ramsey Reformed Church in rural Titonka. Burial will follow the funeral service at Ramsey Reformed Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Kathrina Louise Everding was born on August 10, 1928, on the family farm outside of Buffalo Center, Iowa, to Menno and Anna (Kruse) Everding. She grew up in rural Iowa and attended German Township School before later earning her GED.

Following her schooling, Kathrina cleaned homes before beginning a long and dedicated career as a cook at the Titonka Consolidated Schools in Titonka. Through her years of service, she built lasting relationships within the community.

Kathrina found great joy in sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Many of her handmade items serving as treasured gifts for family members. She also loved cooking and canning; skills she took great pride in. Kathrina delighted in gardening and tending to her flowers, finding peace in nature.

Faith was an important part of Kathrina's life. She was a lifelong member of Ramsey Reformed Church, where she faithfully supported church activities and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Kathrina died Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Titonka Care Center in Titonka. She was 97.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Steve Hodson of Lake Mills, David (Renee) Everding of Sibley, Lois (Myron) Heittola of Bellville, Wisconsin, Amy (Tim) Kuehler of Early. She is also survived by her great-nieces and nephews; and nephew-in-law, Tim Palmer of Forest City.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Menno and Anna Everding; infant brother, Daniel Everding; brother, William (Shirley) Everding; sisters, Margaret Everding, Ruth Everding and Clara Everding; niece, Barb Palmer; great-niece, Kacey Puffer and great-great-nephew, Knox Palmer.
