Dr. Aaslestad mentored my history research from 2019-20. I couldn´t have asked for a more supportive, kind, and caring figure to shape such an important part of my time at WVU. Dr. Aaslestad worked tirelessly to help her students succeed, and always encouraged us to strive for something better. It was a privilege to know and learn from her. I´m wishing Dr. Aaslestad´s loved ones peace and comfort.
