Katherine “Kathy” Elaine Delling Chandler passed away at her home on November 25, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Don B. Delling and Billie Jean Delling.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dan H. Chandler Sr., and her son, Dan H. (DJ) Chandler Jr. She had a deep love for people and spent much of her life serving others, as a tutor and secretary at Davis Elementary School, and later as a church administrator at Mabelvale United Methodist Church.

After moving to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Kathy quickly formed many meaningful friendships. She became part of a special group of friends known as Mis Amigas and joined her church choir, where she loved lifting her voice in worship. The Gospel was truly ever-present within her.

Kathy also had a heart for animals. Her love for dogs led her to volunteer many hours with the Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League, a service she continued until her health no longer allowed. She cherished a special friendship with Weeza Boyd and Nim Barnett, a bond that lasted over 50 years, and she treasured the love and companionship of her cousins and aunts.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Don Delling. She leaves behind her husband, Dan Sr., her son, Dan (DJ) Jr., and her nephews, Jesse Delling and Jordan Delling.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Mountainside Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations or memorials be made to the Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League.
