January 6, 1955- November 25, 2025
A resident of Lee County, Virginia, she lived a long and happy life. She was blessed to attend Binghamtown Baptist Church and to hear their Godly Services of Pastor Boyd and William Boyd Bingham.
Katherine attended Pump Springs Women’s Bible Studies for many years and attended Spirit and Truth Women’s Studies and the Blanket Program.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Colson and Sunny Sue Webb Colson. Paternal grandparents, Jack and Beulah Colson. Maternal Grandparents, Harold and Virginia Webb, and her uncle Jack Colson and aunt Patricia Wilson.
She leaves behind two sons, Austin Gage Colson and wife Hannah, David Kitt Kaufmann and wife Sadie.
Three grandsons, Cash Colson, Kai Kaufmann and Elijah Colson.
Three siblings, Jimmy Colson, Patrick Colson and Susan Garmon and several nieces and nephews.
She worked as a funeral director and mortician in both Texas and Tennessee. She finished out her working career at LMU, retired and happily lived the farm life in Lee County, Virginia.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, at 5:30 PM, at the Binghamtown Fellowship Hall, (downstairs), in Middlesboro, KY.
Burial to be competed on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2PM, at The Middleboro/Colson Cemetery, in Middlesboro, KY, with Preacher William Boyd Bingham officiating.
Celebration of Life services to immediately follow burial at her residence.
