Dan/Marilyn Geiger

It was with saddened hearts we learned of Kathy´s homegoing. My first duty assignment was with the Rangers at Ft. Stewart in 1977. We rented an apartment in Glennville and attended the same church as the Dashers. It was there we met some wonderful folks including Vernon and Kathy. They took us under wing and we became good friends. We shared the same anniversary date and their two little ones were the same age as our son. I was deployed a lot and Vernon and Kathy took Marilyn and Joel under their wings during these times, which was a great relief to me! Their friendship was a great blessing to us. Kathy had a kind, generous heart filled with love and always had a smile ready to share with others. While we will miss her, it is a comfort knowing she is in the presence of her Savior, no longer suffering, and that we will see her again. Our prayers are that the Lord will surround Vernon, Jake, and Jeanie, and the rest of her family and friends with the warmth of His loving presence during this time of loss. Kathy´s life was a life well-lived.
