Katherine Ann Davies

Katharine Ann ‘Kitty’ Davies of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, from complications of diabetes. Cremation has been accorded, and there will be no service. Memorials in Kitty’s memory may be made to The Greater Jefferson County Foundation, P.O. Box 1325 in Fairfield, IA 52556, for the FHS Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Kitty was born to John and Gene Davies in Mattoon, IL, on January 16, 1955. Kitty and her family moved to Fairfield in 1964, where her father was a professor at Parsons College. She graduated from FHS in 1973.

Following graduation, Kitty attended Park College in Kansas City, majoring in Criminal Justice. She headed the Department of Security for the K-Mart Company in Kansas City and later worked for Praxair and Wells Fargo, and finally for Super 8 in LaVerne, MN.

Kitty was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend to those who knew her. She never missed a birthday or anniversary and was always there to lend a hand, a sympathetic ear, or shoulder. She is survived by sisters Donna Davies (Rich Middlebrough) of Yucca Valley, CA, Sara Skeels of Eden Prairie, MN, Jane Cahill of Hingham, MA, Amy (Mike) Lloyd of Albuquerque, NM, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 4 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Griff Davies, and brother-in-law Marty Skeels. She will be deeply missed.
