Katherine A. Foley. of Wrentham passed away peacefully on October 31st 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Katherine is the mother of Katherine DeVito and husband James DeVito of Norton, MA, and William Robert Vitkosky and wife Stacey Elizabeth Vitkosky, of Wrentham. Sister to William Robert Foley and wife Denise Avallon of Middleboro and the late Mark Steven Foley survived by wife Jen Foley and late John Allen Foley, dear grandmother to Francis, Grace and Tucker Vitkosky. Katherine was born in August of 1947 and was predeceased by her parents John A. Foley and Georgia A. (Whipple) Foley of Norwood, MA. Katherine Foley (Kathy), was a graduate of Norwood High School in 1965 and took secretarial courses at the adjacent Henry O. Peabody School. She was then hired at Plimpton Press in Norwood as a secretary. She married William Francis Vitkosky, also of Norwood at St. Timothy's church on September 8th, 1968. The new honeymooners spent their time in off-base housing at RAF Bentwaters in Ipswich, England while Sgt. Vitkosky finished his tour of duty in the US Air Force. Once returned, they designed and built their house in 1973 located in Wrentham, MA. Along the way, she became a single mother and landed a secretarial position at Harvard University's School of Public Health's Office of Continuing Education in the Longwood Medical area. She raised her two children and sent her daughter to Bishop Feehan High School and her son to Tri-County High School. Both of whom ended up with great jobs at Harvard University. She shortly became the Director of the Department of Continuing Education and she enjoyed her workmates and job for years. When leadership changed, she took a position as the Executive assistant for the Director of Harvard Dining in Cambridge, although the commute was longer. She finally assumed the title of Executive Assistant to the CIO for Harvard University. She retired in 2009 at 62. She relished the beachfront property that her parents purchased in 1967 in North Truro, and was a critical part of maintaining the property and all the rentals and finances for such once her parents deceased. Her favorite beach spot was under an umbrella on the upper beach with a delicious sweet bourbon Manhattan with cherries in the "wind tunnel" watching us all on the boats out front. She enjoyed family reunions down the Cape and also trips with her favorite card-playing girlfriends. She was kind to a fault, beautiful, generous beyond anything, loving, great at advice, and overall, a very caring person. The hole in our hearts can never be filled. Please join with family and friends, to celebrate a wonderful life, on Wednesday November 5, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street,
