Katherine Kermode Obituary
Katherine is survived by her children, Amy (Rick) Penny, Kaylee (Michael) Banno, Heath (Lisa) Kermode; grandchildren, Sophia (Nick) Elkins (nee Banno), Michael Banno Jr., Ariel Penny, Jasmine Penny, Chloe Banno, Jacob Kermode, Joseph Kermode; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Logan, Jason, and Dean Elkins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. who passed away in January 2025; granddaughter Joanna Banno; siblings, Joseph Karel Jr. and Joyce Thurman.
Katherine loved to shop and enjoyed spoiling her children and grandchildren with presents especially at Christmas. She enjoyed car rides with her husband Charles that turned into casino trips ending up with milkshakes from Swenson's.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio. The family will receive friends at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. Willoughby, Ohio on Friday February 28 from 4-8 PM.
