Katherine A. Morea
Born August 17, 1950, in the Bronx, NY • Resided in Gainesville, GA
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Katherine A. Morea on March 11,2025, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She departed this life peacefully after a courageous seven-year battle with Alzheimer's, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.
Katherine was the beloved wife of 53 years to her devoted husband, John Morea. She was a nurturing mother to her three children: Terence, Heidi, and Christianna. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Dragos Mihaiu, and adored her precious granddaughter, Olivia.
Born and raised in the Bronx, NY on August 17, 1950, to Lucy and Jacob Devantier. Katherine carried her vibrant spirit and strong family values throughout her life. She later made her home in Gainesville, GA, where she built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and treasured memories.
Katherine was known for her unwavering love and support for her family and friends. Her kindness touched many, and she had an incredible ability to make those around her feel special and deeply valued. She was a woman of great faith and compassion.
Despite the challenges of Alzheimer's, Katherine's resilient spirit shined through, and she continued to bring love and joy to those around her. Her family remained by her side, providing the same unconditional love that she had always given them.
She enjoyed reading, volunteering, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Katherine's legacy of love and devotion to both her faith and her family will continue in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to The Longest Day, with the Alzheimer's Association. which she and her family participated in yearly. Family page can be found here: https://nclvm.com/5rmyf
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
