Obituary of Katherine Wawczak
Katherine Wawczak, 92 of Basking Ridge passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022. Katherine was born in Morristown, NJ on July 7, 1929 the only child of Mary Elizabeth and Charlie Kutcher. They had an 88 acre farm in Myersville known locally as Kutcher's Corners. Their dairy cows and produce were patronized often by local families and was helpful in getting many through the depression. Charlie Kutcher also built homes in the central and northern New Jersey area.
Katherine was married to Andrew John Wawczak, a local boy who later became and worked as a CPA. They had a home and property carved from the family land. Andrew was born on July 22, 1924 and passed away September 20, 2006 at the age of 82. They did not have any children together.
Katherine worked at Mutual Benefit Life Insurance in Newark later opening her own business: Key Personnel Center in Madison. She was also the founder of the Kemmerer Library in Harding Township and is listed as a Silver Benefactor.
