Katherine Marie Wells, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, departed this life on July 15th, 2025, at the age of 65 in Festus, Missouri. She was born on July 25th, 1959, in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter to Nellie (Nicholson) Wells and the late Johnie Wells. Katherine’s warmth, kindness, and laughter touched everyone she met.
Katherine was known for her unwavering love of family and dear friends, who were the center of her life. She is survived by her devoted mother, Nellie (Nicholson) Wells, of Caledonia, Missouri, and her cherished sister, Connie Jean Wells, of Caledonia, Missouri. A proud aunt, Katherine delighted in the company of her niece, Jolene Wells of Caledonia, Missouri, sharing wisdom, laughter, and countless memories.
Whether traveling to new places, quilting patterns, crocheting, or engaging in the joy of scrapbooking, Katherine’s hobbies reflected her creativity.
Katherine found not just fulfillment, but also purpose, through her involvement in the Temple Baptist Church, where she could connect with her community and share her faith. Additionally, Katherine was a proud member of the Red Hat Ladies and the OES Belgrade organizations that celebrated friendship and togetherness; values that Katherine lived by every day.
Katherine is proceeded in death by her father, Johnie Ike Wells.
As we reflect on Katherine's life, we remember a woman whose presence was a gift; a woman who knew the true meaning of family and friendship, and whose spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the love we share.
