Katherine Wodarek, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on August 30, 1943, and is now reunited with her loving husband, James F. Wodarek, who preceded her in death.
Katherine’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She is survived by her two cherished sons, James (Rosa) Wodarek and Joseph (Megan) Wodarek. Her heart will forever hold the memories of her loving grandchildren, Jimmy, Alaina, Ava, Joey, and Emma. Katherine also leaves behind her dear brother, John Minnitte, who was a constant source of comfort and support throughout her life.
Katherine is also survived by son John (Robyn) Julia,Sara and Maddie .
Katherine’s warmth, strength, and nurturing spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Family and friends welcome Monday, March 3, 2025 from 2-8 pm at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd, Scott Twp., 15220. Funeral mass Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 9:00 am in Resurrection Church, St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish. Burial to follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
