She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Edward Grover Hammonds; children, Kelly D. Hammonds and Edward Grover Hammonds Jr.; grandchildren, Edward Grover Hammonds III, Zorie Ann McNamara and Zander Theodore McNamara; siblings, Ron Kelly, Tom Kelly and Vickie Kolthoff; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friend; Yolanda Combs; and beloved dog, Bear. She is predeceased by sister, Deena Phillips; brother, Bill Kelly; and her parents.
Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.

The very best mother wife grandmother and many other things as well. I grew up in the hammonds household so many memories but one that stands out was a science fair that Kathy and Big Ed took me and little Eddie to that was a state science fair, we were little rascals and I think we surprised her that day. I will never forget that it's a permanent memory. You will be missed Kathy my condolences go out to the whole family. See you in heaven Kathy and say hi to dick and Jane king when ya get there.
