Kathleeen Medearis Obituary Kathleen M. Medearis, age 63 of Mauston, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at her home in Mauston, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Wendall and Delores (Teagarden) Jordan and was born on October 10, 1961, in Rockford, Illinois.
Kathleen grew up in a lively household, surrounded by her siblings Joyce, Mary, Connie, Ada, Elmer, Scott, Phyllis and David. Her early years were filled with the love that only a large family can provide. Kathleen attended high school in Jefferson, where she formed lifelong friendships.
After high school, Kathleen's adventurous spirit led her to meet Dan Medearis. The two were married on November 10, 1983, and embarked on a decade of travel, exploring life's possibilities together. In 1989, they settled down and started a family, a period that brought Kathleen immense joy. Together, they opened a car business in Hillsboro and later in New Lisbon, which they successfully ran for 25 years. Kathleen and Dan later divorced. Kathleen fought a long fight and battled cancer for 20 years.
Kathleen's love for animals was evident to all, as she delighted in the company of her dogs, who were her constant companions. Her home was a welcoming place where laughter and the pitter-patter of paws were ever-present. She is survived by her children, Danielle (Victor Bolchen) Medearis, Derek (Casey Goers) Medearis, and Lewis (Brooke Kledehn) Medearis. Kathleen's children were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She is further survived by her siblings Joyce (Don) Tomasino, Mary (John) Strait, Connie Kersey, Ada Menser, Elmer (Ana) Jordan, Scott (Lisa) Jordan, and her niece who was like a sister to her, April Aumann.
As a grandmother, Kathleen's heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren Jordan, Olivia, Blaire, Jameson, Reid, and Leo. She embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with them, whether through shared stories, games, or simply being present in their lives.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving parents, her sister Phylis (Gary) Brown, brother David Jordan, and brother-in-law John Strait. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, yet her legacy of love and kindness endures.
