Kathleen A. Bowler, 74, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
She was born on July 25, 1950; the daughter of Kenneth and Emily (Bilger) Kimmy.
She married the love of her life William Bowler, they shared 43 years together until his passing in March.
Kathy enjoyed camping at Kenisee and KOA in Tennessee. She was an avid sports fan, watching any sport that was on, football and racing being her favorites. She cherished spending time with her family and her 2 dogs and cat.
Kathy was very active in her community; she was a volunteer EMT for the Harpersfield Fire Department, and a Rainbow Girl for the Eastern Star. She also volunteered for Share your Christmas for 25 years. Kathleen was PMP for the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2243, where she was a member for 24 years. She loved volunteering for Holiday parties and working in the kitchen. Everyone loved her cooking and dedication. She also coordinated Harvest for Hunger and Relay For Life for years.
She enjoyed spending her time helping others in any way she could, she was truly a selfless woman. What brought her the most joy was sitting at home reminiscing with her husband.
She is survived by her children: Kimberly (Bill) Buskirk and Julia Bowler; her grandchildren: Nicole Buskirk, Emily Buskirk, Zachary Buskirk, and William Gonzales; great grandchildren: Kassie Tapia, Raymond Jr., and Armani Askew; siblings: Rick (Lynne) Kimmy, Mark (Tina) Kimmy; and nephews: Mark Kimmy and Paul Kimmy.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, and her great grandson, Mason William Tapia.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 14th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with funeral service at 6:00pm at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home 323 South Broadway Geneva, Ohio 44041. Dinner will follow at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2243 120 Depot St Geneva, Ohio.
Memorial contributions can be made out to A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter in her great grandson's name, Mason.
