Kathleen A. Boyle

Kathleen A. Boyle of Stroudsburg passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 while under hospice care at Grace Park in Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Theodore Jarrett who died in 2001. She was born in Nesquehoning, PA in 1942, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Boyle.
Kathleen graduated from Marian Catholic High School, received a B.S. degree from East Stroudsburg State College and earned a Masters from Lehigh University. She was a teacher and Social Studies Supervisor in the Pocono Mountain School District from 1964 until her retirement in1997. During her employment she was chosen to attend Social Studies Institutes at Harvard University and Iowa State.
Kathleen was an active volunteer in numerous community organizations including the League of Women Voters, Monroe County Historical Association, the Pocono Garden Club, Meals on Wheels, Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, and the GED program at NCCC. She demonstrated her gardening skills by participating in tending the gardens at the Historical Association Property and at the Eastern Monroe Public Library.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister Mary E. Buffington if Allentown who passed away earlier this year.
Private burial will take place at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.
