Kathleen Mary Comito

Kathleen Mary Comito, 91, formerly of Bethlehem and most recently of Harrisburg, PA, died peacefully on June 23, 2025.

Born on September 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Pauline (Mearing) Rush. Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith. On June 3, 1951, she married the love of her life, Philip Benedict Comito, with whom she shared 74 beautiful years of marriage.

Kathleen dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was a proud and nurturing mother to her children: Ellen Serra and her husband, Tomasso; Joseph Comito and his wife, Rachelle; and Jane Healey and her husband, Dennis; She was preceded in death by three beloved sons, Thomas, Jeffrey, and Charles. Kathleen leaves behind 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and expecting two great grandchildren very shortly.

Kathleen was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem, where she found great joy in her faith community. Her love of music was evident in her service as an organist at several New Jersey and Pennsylvania churches throughout her life, enriching countless services with her talent and devotion. Kathleen was also a professed member of the Order of the Secular Franciscans for nearly 20 years.

In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love, steadfast faith, and quiet strength.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
