Kathleen A. Dooley, cherished and beloved by all who knew her, passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on March 3, 1961 to Andrew and Helen Dooley, Kathleen was known for her humorous spirit and generous and outgoing nature. She worked for 38 years with D.D.S.O. as a direct support assistant before retiring in May of 2021.
A beloved sister to Anna, Andrew (Nadine -"Dee"), and James; aunt to Andrea (Richard Bergen), Sarah, Maggie, Patrick and Claire; great aunt to Miles, Adelyn, and Lainey Bergen; and loyal friend to Laurel, Steve, Jen, and Cupid. Kathleen was deeply generous, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind and silly word. Her presence brought joy and laughter to those around her, and she will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Kathleen walked to the beat of her own drum, and no one could tell her nothing! Kathleen had a passion for the arts and enjoyed attending local theater performances and concerts. She was a devoted fan of Cher and Michael Bublé, and her love for sparkles, bingo, and trips to the casino was well known among her loved ones. Her favorite song was Honey Bee by Blake Shelton. Her favorite movie was seven brides for seven brothers. She always had her hair and makeup done for a night out on the town!
Her kindness, silliness, and generosity will be greatly missed by all those who loved her and had the honor of having her in their lives. Kathleen's memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. And in Kathleen's own words, "Chitty,Chitty. Bang,Bang!"
A Visitation will be held at the Werst & LaBella Funeral Home in Glendale on December 5th, 2025 3:00PM to 5:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM with religious service Lead By Pastor Richard Bergen at 7:30PM. She will be laid to rest later in the Spring in Calvary Cemetery in Herkimer, NY. Interment arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
