Kathleen Mary Fritz, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Kathy was a graduate of Providence High School. She was a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She was born on September 13, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Herman Banet and Grace Falkenstein Banet. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Oscar "Junie" Fritz Jr.; sisters, Dolores Engleman and Bea Fife; brother, Sammy Banet; and infant brother, Ronnie Banet.
Kathy is survived by her children, Vickie (Charlie) Elder, Ronnie (Jo-Jo) Fritz, Terry Fritz, and Jacqui (Mike Perry) Fritz; grandchildren, Jake (Christina) Elder, Jessica Elder, Kacie (Zane) Howell, Sara (Thomas) Briscoe, and Mariah (Michael) Bayer; great-grandchildren, Ally & Kate Elder, Kynlee & Zyler Howell, Lilli, Max, & Raelynn Briscoe, and Bentley & Addi Bayer; siblings, Juanita Lilly, Doris (Jerome) Stilger, Janet (Jim) Schmidt, and Nancy (Jim) Lemons; and sister-in-law, Linda Banet.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 W Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
