Kathleen Sue Achey Rodman, 71, of Findlay, was called to join her beloved parents and Heavenly Father on October 21, 2025. She peacefully closed her eyes, surrounded by her loving husband and children.
Kathi was born to Howard and Tressie (Swartz) Achey on November 21, 1953, in Kenton, Ohio.
A 1972 graduate of Hardin Northern, Kathi worked for thirty years in Findlay at the RCA plant, later known as Harris and Intersil.
She married her one and only, Steven J. Rodman, on February 16, 1974, and he survives. Together they raised five children, Richard (Rachael) Rodman of Upper Arlington, Kelly Simon, Jamie (Peter) Gostnell, Stefanie (Brian) Van Atta, all of Bloomdale, and Robert (Kristina) Rodman of McComb, all of whom survive. In addition, Kathi and Steven have fifteen grandchildren, Robbie, Tyler, Gavin, Keith, Shawn, Lily, Jack, Anna, Wesley, Drew, Kennady, Ellie, Carly, Madison, and Nolan. She loved spending time with her many children, grand babies, nieces, and nephews.
Children were the light of Kathi’s life, and she dedicated much of her time to babysitting. She was like a second mom to Alexander (Yuliya) Brown of Vine Grove, Kentucky. Kathi was a lifelong fan of Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football. She was well known for her skills in the kitchen and would often surprise friends, family, and even the ladies at the bank with delicious treats. Kathi never met a stranger and could make friends every time she stepped out her front door. She spent her summers at Lake Erie and delighted in making holidays special, particularly Christmas.
Kathi is also survived by her siblings, Mary Lou (Glenn) McCann of Findlay, Jeanie (Ike) Schnell of Wapakoneta, Howard (Lois) Achey of Bancroft, Michigan, and Margaret (Steve) Anthony of Ohio City.
Kathi was a devoted Christian and the tireless love she put forth into the world will carry on for generations to come.
“We love you, mom, and we will forever hear your response, “I love you more!” echo in our hearts. Tell your parents we send our love.”
