Kathleen Kearns Obituary
Born on Easter April 21, 1929 in Burkesville, Kentucky to Ettie Lee Davidson and Homer Grider. She married Johnny M. Kearns on December 2, 1951 and moved to Anderson, Indiana.
They had 4 children, Johnnie Paul Kearns (Brenda) of Muncie, William Floyd Kearns of Anderson, Mary Ann Kocher of Anderson and Donna Jane Abney (Nick) of Burkesville, Kentucky; step-child, Buddy Kearns of Columbia, Kentucky; 2 brothers, Albert Grider of Columbia, Kentucky and Jessie Grider of Burkesville, Kentucky; 2 sisters, Cricket McCoy of Burkesville, Kentucky and Dottie Gibson of Burkesville, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and several step great & great-great grandchildren.
Kathleen gave her life to the Lord at an early age and was a member of Southdale Church of the Nazarene for 67 years. She retired from MCL Cafeteria after 24 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 6 brothers, granddaughter, and 6 step-children.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 4-7 pm and 11-12 pm on Tuesday at Bozell Funeral Homes & Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm with Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana.
