Kathleen F. Ketcham

Kathleen F. Ketcham of Matamoras passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2026. She was 71 years old.

The daughter of the late Lewis and Gertrude Everett Drake, she was born on January 8, 1955 in Port Jervis, NY.

Kathy began her career in nursing as an LPN and, through her dedication and determination, later returned to school to become a Registered Nurse. She spent a significant part of her career caring for others at Milford Extended Care, where her natural compassion and kindness touched many lives. Even in recent years, her love of learning never faded, and she went back to school once again to earn her bachelor's degree in psychology.

With her deeply caring nature and genuine desire to help others, Kathy hoped to continue her work by becoming a drug and alcohol counselor so she could support those struggling with addiction. She truly had one of the biggest hearts - selfless, forgiving, and always putting others first. Known affectionately as "Chatty Kathy," she loved talking with people and making connections. She also found great peace and happiness in gardening, which was one of her favorite ways to spend her time.

In addition to her parents Kathy was predeceased in life by her husband Jeffrey Ketcham and sister in law Betty Jo Drake,

Beloved mother of Robert Ketcham (Amanda) and Daniel Ketcham ( Jacklyn Strong). Adoring grandmother of Colson. Dear sister of Lewis Drake, Ralph Drake and David Drake (Ronette). Countless nieces & nephews and many life long friends. We would be remiss to not mention Kathy's loyal pups Kobe & Ryleigh.

A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday April 12th from 1 to 4:00PM at Knight – Auchmoody Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis, NY 12771. A prayer will commence at 3:30PM followed by family reflections.
