Kathleen Anita Kosch went home to be with Lord on Monday, July 28, 2025. Kathleen was born on December 30, 1955 to Jack and Rosalie Leipper of Salem. She graduated from Salem Senior High School in 1974. Kathleen chose to be a stay at home mom until her children were grown and then worked at the Morning Journal in the Accounting Department. She spent her life always doing for others. She was kind, honest, funny, and one of the most welcoming people we have ever known. Over the years many considered her to be a second mom, always there with a smile and a hug. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, making sure they had snickey snacks and that laughter always filled the room. She liked the simple things in life like listening to Cleveland Baseball on the radio, going for walks, car rides, relaxing on the porch, listening to music, and soaking up the sunshine.
She is survived by her loving boyfriend David Clementson of Salem, her father Jack Leipper of Salem, her sister Kim (Robert) Ackerman of West Chester, 3 daughters, Kelly (Mark) Birchak of Salem, Lindsay (Jim) May of Berlin Center, Katherine Oesch (Brandon Davis) of Salem, 9 grandchildren: Evan, Jess, Brittiany, Lilly, Dexter, David, Donnie, Derek, and Quinn, and her nephews and niece Ryan, Sean and Hannah.
We find comfort in knowing that for the last many years she was always having the time of her life and that one day we will see her again. A memorial service will be held at Brown Funeral Home at 510 Jennings Ave. Salem, OH 44460 on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM. A time of fellowship with friends and family will take place following the services at the funeral home. Friends and family can sign the guest register and send condolences online at www.BrownFHOnline.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Salem Chapel (330) 337-6363.
