We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kathleen "Kathy" Kubes (nee Gangl), age 77, of White Bear Township, on July 25, 2024.
Kathy was born in St. Paul, MN to Robert "Bob" and Helen Gangl on October 8, 1946. Kathy met Ed Kubes in highschool and they married on October 6, 1966. They were together for almost 60 years. Kathy worked at Dayton's, American Family Insurance, Rock Tenn and H Enterprises. Ed and Kathy enjoyed their winters in Mesa, Arizona where they met many wonderful friends. Kathy enjoyed spending time at the cabin, watching sports, reading, needlepoint, sewing, shopping, spending time with her friends, traveling with her daughter in law Lanie and granddaughter and most of all, watching her granddaughter, Sydney, play high school and college soccer.
Kathy had a truly positive attitude toward life and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was devoted to her family and so proud of us all. She will be enormously missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceded in death by father, Robert, mother, Helen, and brother, Bill.
Survived by her husband Edward, son Jon "Jack" (Lanie), Bill (Carolyn Ruhnow), granddaughter Sydney and sister, Mary Jo Olson (Jim).
Donations can be made in Kathy's memory to Helping Paws Inc. of Eden Prairie.
