Kathleen Marie Moenk, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Winslow House Care Center in Marion, Iowa. In agreement with her wishes, there will be no services held at this time. A private family interment will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Kathleen was born on July 13, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Delores (Grewe) Dillon. She attended Regis High School and earned her GED through Kirkwood Community College. On October 31, 1984, Kathleen was united in marriage to Robert Wilhelm Moenk in Iowa City, Iowa. For nearly 30 years, she was employed as a machinist with Rockwell Collins, until her retirement. Kathleen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kathleen is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Renee (Gary) Comstock, Tina Carroll, and Joe (Michele) Carroll; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Trisha) Dillon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Moenk; daughter, Marie Hannah Carroll; and sister, Patricia Dillon.
Memorials in Kathleen’s memory may be directed to the Winslow House, located at 3456 Indian Creek Road in Marion, Iowa 52302.
