It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathleen B. Palaia, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished member of the community, who left this world on September 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Kathleen's life, defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family, began on April 23, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, where she was born to the late Edmund Mutoli and the late Carolina (Melchionna) Mutoli. Kathleen was not just a homemaker; she was the heart and soul of her family. Her dedication to her children and unwavering support made her a guiding light for those fortunate enough to know her. She was proud of her role as a mother to her daughter, Denise Palaia, and her late son, Anthony Palaia, who preceded her in death. Kathleen's nurturing spirit and her ability to remember important dates, birthdays, and family events made her an irreplaceable presence in the lives of her loved ones. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special and valued, ensuring that no moment of joy was forgotten. Her husband, Anthony Palaia, stood by her side through the years, sharing a bond that was a testament to enduring love. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and affection, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of their family. Kathleen's laughter and radiant smile were infectious, bringing joy to every gathering and brightening even the darkest days. Kathleen's home was a sanctuary filled with love, where family and friends were always welcome. Her compassion for others and her ability to listen and comfort were among her most cherished qualities. She made it her mission to create a loving environment, where everyone felt seen and heard. Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived-a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Kathleen passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, a fitting farewell for a woman whose greatest joy came from being with her loved ones. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral service, which will be held on September 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals Inc. This gathering will serve as an opportunity to honor Kathleen's legacy and share in the love she so generously gave throughout her life. In this time of sorrow, we remember Kathleen B. Palaia not only for the loss we feel but for the immeasurable love she brought into our lives. She will forever be missed, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
