Joe, Bev, and all of Kathy's relatives and friends,
I was the teacher who took Kathy's first-grade class when she became the reading teacher at Mullen. It was a daunting class as many of my students were placed with Kathy as she was so good with struggling students. She was wonderful with students and with me. I shared many years with Kathy at Mullen-Hall. She made beautiful gifts for my two children and was always ready to help with students. She tutored ESL learners and was very helpful with Ping Ha who arrived on day 2 of the year with no English! We had many wonderful conversations throughout the years. May all of our memories add to your memories and help you with your loss. She was a special person and will always remain as a smile in my heart.

Kathy had a heart of gold. She made beautiful blankies for my foster children when I took them abroad so they could self soothe. She made Hans and I a remakably gorgeous off white Afghan for our wedding. When I look at these gifts I think of how kind she was and I miss her. We taught together for many years. She was a good friend to me.

When I think of Kathy, I always smile. She was the sweetest soul, so caring and giving of herself and her time. She loved life and people. She and Joe were such a lovely couple, and she and her sister had such a close relationship. Our hearts are with you all at this time.
Sending our love and support to you.
