Kathleen E. Reidy

Kathleen E. Reidy, age 81, of Laurie, passed away November 2, 2025, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born May 14, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eileen (Blattner) Walsh.
On June 29, 1963, she was united in marriage to Thomas William Reidy, who preceded her in death on November 23, 2020.
While living in Chicago, she and Tom owned and operated Spring Green Lawn Care for many years. After moving to the lake in 1990, she worked as the parish secretary at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie for many years until her retirement. She was an active member of the church where she was Dame of the Holy Sepulchre and the served in Ladies Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus.
Kathy enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and cherished time spent with her family – especially her beloved nieces and nephews. For over fifty years, she joyfully hosted family Christmas dinners, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love and tradition.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Reidy of the home and Penny Reidy and wife Diana Villafuerte of Chicago, Illinois and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Walsh and wife Lillian, Gary Walsh and wife Rose and Karen Brazeal and husband Don.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 12th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie with Father John Schmitz celebrating. Graveside services and inurnment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., with a rosary prayed at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
